The Glass Star

Exterior glow of brilliance and
Beauty surpassed only by reflection
Allurement of the divine being
For those who pursue her.

But as light forsakes the innocence
An eclipse ingests in entirety
Warmth falters from her heart
The shell encrusted with walls of ice.

For the contemptible few.

A tiny spark of florescence
Endemic to a familiar warmth
Ice flows in restorative liquid
Hope, a limited fragment.

Her walls gently diminish
Grace shines through the ice.
